Tubes are processed on automated and computer-controlled saws.

Cut pieces and tubes are bent on the most modern press brakes according to the calculations of our engineers. Laser technology checks the accuracy of the bends.

Tow bars are compiled in terms of calibre and then welded by robots. All robots can be remotely programmed by computer. This high-quality technology allows GDW to offer lifetime guarantees for the construction of every tow bar it manufactures.

All the tow bars are sandblasted to guarantee the paint quality.

Once they are sandblasted, the tow bars are phosphated in a tunnel, dried in an oven and then dipped into paint. This modern treatment guarantees an exceptional coat of paint, which means that every GDW tow bar has the best possible protection against rust and wear and tear.

All moulds are designed and manufactured in-house by our technical service. To do this we use CNC-controlled machinery, with some specific parts being milled on these too.

Specialist workers create very strong moulds that can be used later in production.

Every new model is subjected to a durability test on the merciless GDW test benches, which are linked directly to the European classification institutes through digital computer lines.

The R&D specialists developed a specific tailored tow bar for every vehicle. Each tow bar is designed in 3-D. The GDW engineers guarantee optimum strength for every model. For every new model, the prototype is developed on the vehicle. This integrated R&D approach is the only guarantee possible for a high-quality tow bar.

The recognised service provided by GDW is reinforced by a storage area of 5,000 m². GDW has a constant stock of over 35,000 tow bars and over 2,000 references. Moreover, the top 350 models are always in stock. Thanks to this investment, GDW can fulfil no less than 96% of all orders within 24 hours! A unique service in our industry.
